"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." — Pele
The things you must repeatedly check for on your journey to becoming a millionaire will only include monthly and yearly checks. If you are checking your finances daily—or even weekly—you are doing something wrong.
Monthly Checklist
Make sure that you are budgeting for your investment accounts
Make sure that your automatic deposits into your emergency account, loans, and M1 Finance are working
Check your email for the Optimized Guides Newsletter to see if this guide has been updated
If you've automated your credit card payments, check that they all went through
Yearly Checklist
Check to see how much you have gained/lost this year, and remember that it does not matter until you actually take your money out
If you are making more/less money, adjust the amount you are automatically investing
If you start making too much money, switch over to a traditional IRA/401(k)
Check to see if your recommended emergency fund amounts have changed
Congratulations. Really.
If you've gotten this far, you've completed the guide and should be well on your way to becoming a millionaire. In a relatively short amount of time, you will one day be able to have more money than you know what to do with. A few final reminders:
